So, I'm a grown up.
Ok, I play one or try to simulate one as best as I know how. Which is just a lot of speculation and googling stuff. Sometimes I ask people for advice too if the question is not too silly.
Anyway, I have this one juvenile habit, or lack of habit that I have - I hate folding laundry and putting it away. I hate that task way worse than I hate putting away the clean dishes. I don't know why I hate these tasks.
Well, another reason I hate putting away the laundry is because the closet organization is a mess. The shelves that the previous owners left are all kind of fucked up. We just tried to half assed reattach the shelves so they wouldn't fall. What we really need to do is spend like probably $150 and buy some proper shelves. Or just get more milk crates...
Anyway, I find my clean clothes that I am going to wear mostly from the laundry basket.
Not that I really have many clothes that I actually wear on a regular basis, but, I pretty much just a small fraction of my clothing that I pretty much wear on rotation. Of course, a huge portion of the time, I'm wearing work clothes. Then there are the sleeping, lounging clothes - a couple choices of shorts and soft tshirts. Then there are the whatever clothes for multipurpose - going for a walk, going to the store, running errands. Then, there are few newerish items that I might wear if I have to say, go to a doctor or vet, or maybe we go out to eat or for a drink.
So, here's the vicious cycle. I wash colors. The only whites I really use are my socks and maybe one or two ponty (panty in Philippine accent) or bra. These often end up in the colors wash, and they are fine. So, I just wash colors. Unless the only dirty laundry left is whites. So, there is a dirty laundry basket in the back bathroom. I just pick through and load the washing machine from there, or I find dirty clothes on the floor, usually, it's clothes that belong to the... man of the house.
So, after I wash and dry, then I put the clothes in the clean laundry basket. If that is overly full, then I put the clothes in the back bathroom sink. We don't really use that sink, so it's fine.
But, what do we do if we go #1 or #2 in that bathroom? We warsh our hands in the kitchen. The thing is, we painstakingly replaced the pvc for that sink and it leaked so many times. We finally used this sealing putty that seems to work, but why take chances. If we don't use the sink, it should last for if any visitors ever come.
So, then, when I take a shower, I look for clean clothes to put on from either the clean laundry basket or the clean laundry sink. And then when they are dirty, I throw them in the dirty laundry basket and perpetuate the cycle.
Seriously, I don't recall the last time I did all the laundry and then folded and put it all away.
It's like I'm a college kid enjoying not having anyone telling me to put away my laundry.
So sad, really.
Is there really a reason to have 3 blogs? This one is the daily musings page.....

Boy I need a shower
But, I'm not going to take one tonight. Even though I really should. When I took a piss a little while ago... I could smell my ass. Sorry. Is that TMI?
Oh, c'mon. Everyone has had a stinky ass before. It's like, if I told you I took a shit or was on the rag, would that be appalling to you also?
Anywho. The FP woke up with another eye infection. I don't think this one is nearly as bad as that one he had in November though, thankfully. So, he took some Nyquil and went to sleep for several hours. That left me to... do whatever I felt like. So, I went to the grocery store to get coffee, and some food for dinner. I got that stuff, then I went back home and made some coffee. It was kind of watery. But I drank it. Then, I thought about doing yard work. I went out back. There's a lot to do back there.
So, I went to the store to get stuff. I spent most of the time at Big Lots. But I also went to Home Goods too.
And an hour and forty-five minutes I got home. Just in time to make lunch with some of our tender butter lettuce in the little side garden next to the fence. That was some good salad!
After lunch, the FP went back to bed. So, I went to try to put the overgrown tomato plants in tomato cages. The problem was, the dog next door was barking at me and trying to dig under the fence to get at me.
So, what did I do? I got back in the car and went to Petsmart. I bought some cat treats, and some dog treats too. Then I went home and started working on the tomato plants again. When the dog started barking, I threw a dog treat over the fence. At first, I don't think he or she noticed it.
I don't think these dogs have ever had dog treats. They are just backyard dogs, guard dogs. Which is fine if the weather is temperate, I guess. After he barked a few times and I threw a few treats over, he or she found them, I suppose. There was a longer pause. I got the cut tree branches and palm fronds laying around and kind of put them as close to the fence as I could, with a shovel. There was no way I was going to stick my hand anywhere near that fence. I kind of tried to make a barrier so that the dog couldn't just dig into my backyard. Luckily, the garbage truck was making it's rounds in the alley, so the two dogs focused all their attention barking at the truck. I tried to get my work done asap.
I had time to haphazardly get the tomato plant near the fence into the tomato cage. Then I tried to replant the poor shriveled purple carrots. We bought them but didn't plant them for like a week or more, and now I think they are hopeless. But, I put in new dirt anyway and put them back in and watered them. I had to at least try to save them!
After the gardening (downhill, not uphill) was done, I started to clean the pool a little. I had cleaned the leaves a couple days ago, but there was a shitload of ants and pollen. And also lots of sand on the bottom. So, I fucked with the skimmer for at least half an hour. It wasn't... skimming. There was barely any suction. So I messed with the valves, I cleaned out the baskets, eventually, it started working a little better. But I think there was too much water in the pool. So, I just took a blue industrial cleaning cloth and started wiping the pool tiles of the ant and pollen buildup. When the shit all floated free by the side of the pool, I would skim it. So, wipe, wipe, skim, skim, scooch, schooch, wipe, wipe , skim, skim. All around the pool. Of course, there was all the shit floating in the middle of the pool and the bottom that I wasn't getting. But, I went around the rim of the pool 3 times, I think. It still looked dirty and gross, but, it was slightly better. I could have spent another 2 or 3 hours cleaning the pool. Even though it's really too cold to go in. But, it was time to start dinner. So, I made dinner.
Wasn't this an exciting blog entry. You only wish your life was half as exciting as mine, right? I've become a not very effective housewife! Man, do I need a job bad!
All that just to explain to you why my ass stinks.

Stuffy
So, I was slowly improving. Slowly. And now my nose is all stuffed up, and I still have yuck in my lungs too. Okay, some of it could have to do with the drilling and inhaling sawdust, plaster and metal dust. I definitely could have used a mask yesterday. But I never thought of covering my nose and mouth until I would get a noseful or mouthful of something.
Oh, and it's cold. It was cold this morning. Then it was pretty warm when I was out back working on the screen door. It was warm enough that I had to change into shorts. But then later on, it got cold again, and I didn't change back into pants fast enough. I was trying to make the shower run hotter, so I kept sticking my arm under the water. So, when I was done with that, I was freezing. So, I had to change back into sweats. And that's what I'm wearing now.
And I went to Kmart in sweats. You know, I just needed some Orajel for my damn mouth sore, so I was just going to "run to the store." And it's Kmart. You know - the place where that phrase came from , "Kmart feet"? It means very very dirty filthy feet. Because the poor families would go into Kmart and the kids wouldn't have shoes on but no one kicked them out, "Kmart feet".
So, here's my ensemble:
I don't know what's so funny? Why are you laughing so much? I really dont' think it's that funny? Oh, come on. Really? Are you peeing a little?
And you're going to tell me you were never just cleaning the house or sick or something and never just ran to the store with whatever you had on, without thinking or worrying about it?
This is the height of couture, FYI. So, the shoes, I got at least a year ago, and they are my favorite leisure/exercise shoes ever. They are black with like hot pink laces. And I've logged in a lot of miles in these shoes. I mean walking wise and in a car or plane.
And then the sweatpants. I got these ages ago. I bought them in the boys section at Wal-mart. I didn't like the elastic legs, so I de-elastified them. These pants have comforted me through many an illness, and many a depressed night at home watching dumb movies or lame TV and probably feeding my candida with junk food.
The T-shirt, I believe was from Urban Outfitters or Target - one or the other. The FP got it, and he didn't like it. So, it kind of sat around in danger of being thrown out or given to Goodwill. So, I started wearing it, mainly as a work shirt. It was uncomfortable at first, I think. But it's broken in, so it's fine now.
The hoodie was a Target purchase by the FP. He loved this hoodie. LUVED it. But then it was washed and then dried in the dryer on high. Probably by me, and it shrunk. You can see how the zipper was all warped. So, the FP went to Target and bought the same exact hoodie. He threatened to throw the warped hoodie away, but once again, I adopted it. And boy have I worn this thing. I don't even know if the FP has his hoodie like it still. But he's bought several since then. Numerous. A plethora. A myriad. A whole bunch.
Anyway, that's what I wore to the fashion show, I mean freak show, that is Kmart. And, yeah, when I noticed what I was wearing under the bright fluorescent lights, I felt self conscious. So, this woman glanced at me, and I looked at her, and she looked at me again. So, I felt like she was looking at my outfit, like WTF. Or like, is that girl homeless? And if so, did she steal those shoes that look pretty clean for being over a year old? It's Kmart for godsake!!!!!
Anyway, even if I won the lottery (which I need to start playing) I would still wear these clothes and run to the store wearing them. It's not like I would run out and get a Gucci leisure suit to wear while doing housework and to run to the store. Ok, who am I kidding. If I won the lottery, I wouldn't do housework, besides the stuff that I like to do, which isn't much. But, I would still run to the store in all male clothes except for my very female looking shoes. And if you had a problem with it, I would flash you a smile with all my platinum teetheses. Then you'd be schooled, yo.

Not Cool
It's 96 degrees according to my dashboard weather app. Really. It's air conditioning weather. Go ahead, tell me how I have to get used to it. It's hotter and humid in Florida. I know this. Doesn't mean I don't want to enjoy the "perfect" San Diego weather as much as I can before I leave.
Now, several hours later, at 10:04pm, it's still 71 degrees. That's hot for here. I can't complain too much, because I was painting one of my sophisticated critiques of society that I do, and the paint was drying lickety split. Lickety split. You don't hear that phrase much nowadays. And speaking of nowadays, I don't think people say nowadays nowadays, do they?
I think I had a topic to write about today. I should really write them down like I used to. I'm such an unorganized person. As often and desperately I try to turn over new leaves, new bushes, new redwoods sometimes, I can't keep it up. It's like I'm unmotivated, like I have chronic fatigue syndrome, or I'm lazy. Like currently, I have easily over 100 emails in one mailbox, and probably another 150 in another that simply need to be deleted. But the past week or so, I've just been glancing at the emails, opening ones I need to read and disregarding the rest. And I know this is how I tend to miss important emails. But I simply don't want to do it. Maybe I will let so many build up that it will take several hours to delete them all. Then, the day that I finally delete them, that will have been my productive chore for the day.
Speaking of productive chores, this not working thing can make one very unproductive very fast. I mean, before, I would feel like I had to do productive chores for 8 hours a day. Then it became 6, then 3. Now, I'm lucky if I did something that I feel is of worth for an hour. Like I can justify writing this blog as being enough of a task for the whole day.
How the hell am I ever going to be able to work again? Should I just try to get knocked up? So trying to get knocked up would be one job. Being pregnant would be another. Raising a kid would be the next job. And then I could force the FP to get a really good job with benefits and stuff. While I fully realize this whole housewife thing. There really is no need for a full time housewife when your living space is like 600 sq ft and you have no kids or dogs. I think that would be confusing to people. It would be like, what do you do all day? Let's explore this further.
8:30 am Get up, and pour myself an iced coffee from the coffee that the FP brewed 1 - 4 hours prior to my waking up. If there is no brewed coffee, then I ask, "No coffee?" and I make some. Then I get on the computer if the FP is not on it anymore.
9:30 am Maybe take a shit if I'm lucky. I don't have a regular schedule like that.
9:45 am Change clothes and go for a jog.
10:15 am Come back from the jog, maybe do a few pushups, do some exercises with my little 5lb weights.
10:30 am See if there is stuff for lunch. If not, maybe go and make groceries for lunch. Usually I don't plan far ahead enough to get something for dinner, so I come home and ask myself why I didn't get food for dinner too.
11 am Depending on what we're having for lunch, I make it or the FP makes it. He generally makes salads and heats up soups. If we have french bread sandwiches, he makes them. If we have sourdough bread sandwiches, I most likely make them. Stir fry...generally speaking for lunch, the FP makes them.
11:30 am Go back on the computer, to see if anything changed in the past hour. The FP gets the pillows and puts the futon in bed mode and watches his sports shows. If I am tired, then I might lay down also. Yes, I get tired 3 hours after waking. I should have grown up in one of those countries that have siesta. I totally need that. And it doesn't have to be a heavy meal that makes me sleepy. Any meal will make me drowsy 15 - 45 minutes after consumption.
12 pm Fall asleep for an hour.
1 pm Wake up and watch Dan Le Batard Is Highly Questionnable with the FP. We laugh at it and say, "Well, I think this show is funny."
After this, my day gets more varied from the routine. Either I stay on the futon until sometime after the FP goes to work, or I get up and get on the computer, do some packing, maybe do some cleaning if I feel energized. Usually, sometime around 6 pm I tend to stop my chores and watch mindless TV while trying to write this blog. If I'm not fully focused on the blog - like I don't know what to write about or it just isn't good - then I will totally just turn around in the computer chair and watch that episode of That 70s Show that I've seen countless times. If there is dinner to be cooked, then I will start it anywhere between 5 pm and after the FP gets home from work.
If I had a kid or a dog, there would be lots of feeding, walking, entertaining, cleaning up poop and fun stuff like that. But I don't have a kid or a dog. So I'm just a lazy parasite sucking from the unemployment pool. Well, I will be working soon enough, I'm sure. Some crappy low paying job with horrible hours and a mean boss that doesn't know how to manage people or cook.
Man, I really really need to win the lottery!!!
